Hey peeps! ^.-
|
LoggedI was looking for something to photograph while traveling. They are small, so they are easy to pack and keep on your person for this purpose. I really liked that the parts were interchangeable so you could have varying pictures as though the girls were actually traveling as well.
You travel a lot I presume?

Logged Hmm... How will I answer this question.. I have always seen them online but never really got into them yet. I had seen the Evangelion Pinkys one time, but didn't really realize what kind of figures they were. After seeing the Haruhi Pinkys this question came to mind: What company is this!? They looked so cute... and I looked into it. I've found out they were special limited edition (Kinda) ones derived from the original ones. To make this short, my first pinky I ordered is Pk019, thats not out yet, and I picked her because she reminds me of Misaki from Welcome to the NHK. Um, I hope I didn't bore anybody (cuz I am boring..) with the story!

LoggedHey everyone, I'm glad you asked! I had seen them a few times around flickr, but never paid much attention. But it was Sakuya Masaki (on flickr) who got my attention! :) so I asked her what they were all about and she was the one who directed me over to here! :-D I don't know what I would have done with out her!

My Pinky Clan is taking over...my room!
|
LoggedI know I started collecting them in december of 2006 (Arcueid. Reina (Kurumi) and Sumire (Saya) were Christmas presents) and the whole thing just snowballed from there~
I do remember seeing them at a place called Frank & Sons and thinking, "is this girl flipping me off?" I didn't really think anything of them then but in Nov. 2006, I saw them again at Hirameki Anime Goods where I saw Reina as a display along with Arcueid and Sumire available for sale. I really liked how Reina looked because at the time she looked sort of like me. The person working at the time let my boyfriend buy the Reina display~

Bitten by the Pinky bug!
|
LoggedIt's so interesting hearing how everyone found PInky! Oddy enough, my office mate and I were looking at a recent email from Ningyoushi and the Pinky St. figures popped up on the main page. We were all "oooooo!" So we started researching who Pinky St was and how to buy them. We both collect other stuff, she has a lot of urban vinyl and I collect Blythe dolls. To her, Pinky seemed expensive but compared to Blythe, Pinkys are cheap to me. I've already bought about 10 of them!

LoggedI stumbled across them at an anime convention, bought a couple, fell in love, and bought like 14 more before the con was over. My boyfriend was... not amused.

Pinky Addict <3 just found a new home

LoggedI was really really into Evangelion and was googling like everything I could, and someone's site popped up with the Eva girls Pinkies and I fell in love. They weren't the first ones I received because I had a hard time finding them, but they were what started me.

Off to Pinky Town!
|
LoggedI was visiting San Francisco with my mom,and i love Japanese stuff, so we went to Japan Town and in Japan Town I went to this book store in this mall and on a wall on a bunch of metal hanger things...is this starting to sound like those weird picture books? Anyway, on a bunch of hanger things there were a bunch of Pinkies, and I bought two and then we left from the San Francisco airport to visit Maine, and then, when we came back, I bought two more for me and one for my BFF who lived in Japan for three years, and who moved here when she was three. And then I think my BFF found this site and showed it to me and I liked it so eventually I joined the forum. So thats basically it.
