Hey Pinky Fans 
I wonder ... what's happening with Vance ? No new Pinkies announced ...
On the website, we can see 3 new projects for a long time now : a new Pinky Cosplay and series 9 and 10 seem to be announced for 2009, but hey, we're already may !
As it takes about ... 9 month and 1 year to realease after announcement (due to many usual delays ...), I'm not sure we'll get some Pinkies in 2009 
What do you think ? Does it announce an end to Pinky Street ?

End? Nah, I doubt that- but restructuring, sure. Global economy woes straining people's 'fun' bugdets, new laws and taxes and postal rates making it harder to get toys overseas (becuase we know there's an overseas market, even if they don't!). Plus, perhaps they're trying to figure out what's been selling better- new unique series girls or anime tie-in stuff.

Methinks we need our friends at Plastic Pop to go ask some questions, just to see 

Did not Plastic Pop talk about some new ideas from VANCE?

Day after tomorrow is HobiKon in Tokyo. Perhaps VANCE will show protos of the new Pinky there?!

Even if it takes a while for the next Pinkys to come out they've still been planned for so I doubt that the optimisticly scheduled Pinkys mean doom... I guess we'll just have to wait and see...

The optimist in me would like to think that Vance is reassessing their strategy of employing cost-cutting measures in the production of the figures. I would love to see the quality of the plastic, the finish of the parts, and the painting return to the levels of the original issue figures. The newer figures seem to be of softer, less durable plastic, the fit of the pieces is not as snug, the interchangeability of the pieces is not uniform, and the paint details are not as nice. I would be willing to pay a bit more for higher quality figures. I'm also concerned that the somewhat lower production quality of the newer figures will win no new fans to the line. If I had discovered P-Street with Series 7, for instance, I don't know that I would have become a fan. So yeah, I'm hoping they're taking this time to try to re-energize the product line, with higher quality production being an element of the strategy.

I really hope not! Now I feel slightly worried  I do hope that they make an appearance at Hobby Con...

So, I checked some blogs and websites about the Hobby Complex 07, but none of them showed any Pinky Street ...
Maybe it's because Pinky Street aren't interesting for most of figures collectionners ?
Did someone find some news ? 

We want more Pinkiiiiiies 

It has seemed really strange that there hasn't been any news in the Pinky world in so long. I hope this doesn't mean Vance has given up on Pinky:St! I don't play with my Pinkys as much as I used to, but I still love them and want MORE! 

I hope they are just 'restructuring', too.  This down time gives me a chance at catching up.     I found that Pinky's have gone up in price, convention wise.  ACEN normally had them for 12-15, but this year, you couldn't find one under 17 and honestly, they had very very little (far less than in past years).  Maybe the fact that VANCE is re-working had something to do with that...

  Sometimes no new pinkies for a while is a good way to catch up.
