Hi everybody!

We (plasticpop) went to the Nuremberg Toy Fair last weekend and we've had a meeting with Mr. Hamano from GSI/Vance to talk about the upcoming releases and changes for this year concerning Pinky:st.
The first hit:
NO WONDERFEST Pinky! - This year there will be no Wonder Festival Special type of Pinkies. Instead, they are working hard on series 9 and 10 and other regular releases! So there are more regular and less limited releases this year, so that every Pinky-collector get the chance to buy them.
In addition, Mr. Hamano told us about the plans for a bombastic Pinky.st project coming possibly in 2010. Since this project is still "top secret", we're unfortunately not allowed to give any further information yet, but we can assure you: It is fantastic, we're totally excited and we can't wait to make the first announcements! So look out for some really stunning news later this year!
Funnily enough, the considerations regarding the unnamed Pinkies are as follows: Since the majority of Pinky: st collectors mix their individual Pinkies out of different body parts, they think that naming a Pinky would make no sense at all. We've pointed out that even if they mix parts, most collectors are still recognizing a Pinky by the face and the name belonging to that face than with a simple release number. Mr. Hamano assured us to discuss our feedback with the designers so that we may get names in future again.
As you may know, there is currently a raffle for a 80cm wide Yoshiko Pinky for the 5-year anniversary of Pinky:st. Unfortunately the price is only reserved for Japanese participants, but Mr. Hamano promised us to do the best he can to offer an anniversary price for the international community too. When this happens, we at plasticpop will innitiate a special contest for all international Pinky:st lovers!

I think this is going to be an exciting Pinky:st year!
